Any person who violates any provision of this chapter by doing any act prohibited or declared to be unlawful thereby, or declared to be an offense or misdemeanor thereby, is guilty of an offense and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. Each day upon which any such violation continues shall constitute a separate offense. (1990 Code § 8-404)
