9.44.040: AUTHORITY TO ADMINISTER:
The chief of police shall have the authority to administer the process of receiving alarm reports and responses, the placement of alarm systems, and other practices necessary to aid in the orderly and safe reporting of emergency circumstances within the city. Such authority shall include the authority to order the disconnection of alarm systems which fail to meet the standards established by this chapter on a continuing basis. (Ord. 827 § 4, 1995)
