505.17 IMMUNIZATION; COLLARS AND TAGS.
   (a)   For the protection of persons and animals, no person, being the owner, keeper or harborer of any dog or cat, shall permit it to be within the City unless such dog or cat has been immunized against hydrophobia or rabies by a licensed veterinarian. All dogs and cats shall wear a collar of suitable material to which is attached a metal tag showing that the dog or cat has been immunized against hydrophobia or rabies, and the date of such immunization.
   This section shall not apply to dogs and cats under the age of four months.
   (b)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
