(a) All full-time, permanent non-bargaining unit City shall be covered under a group life insurance policy not to be less than the amount of three thousand dollars ($3,000) during their term of employment.
(b) Said full-time, permanent, non-bargaining unit employees employed by the City at the time of passage of this section shall, upon retirement from the City into an accredited public employees’ retirement plan, be covered under the three thousand dollar ($3,000) policy. This retiree coverage also applies to individuals who retired from the City after July 1, 1977.
(c) No coverage upon retirement will be offered to employees hired after March 9, 2009.
(d) All full-time, permanent City employees who are members of the AFSCME Union, the IAFF Local 512 Union and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 33 Union shall receive Life Insurance coverage as specified within their bargaining unit Contract Agreements.
