(a) Upon the payment of the nonrefundable fee and submission of a complete application for an OCILB licensed specialty contractor registration in accordance with Section 715.27 of the Ohio Revised Code, the Engineering Department shall immediately issue to such applicant an OCILB licensed specialty contractor registration. The expiration of an OCILB licensed specialty contractor registration shall coincide with the specialty licensed issued by the OCILB.
(b) The continued validity or renewal of an OCILB licensed specialty contractor registration is dependent upon the continued maintenance of all the following:
(1) A current, valid OCILB specialty contractor license and its required liability insurance coverage for up to three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000.00).
(2) A bond of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) in favor of and in form acceptable to the City of Portsmouth, which shall be required only if the contractor is contracted to perform work by or intends to perform work on property owned by the City of Portsmouth.
(3) State of Ohio workers compensation coverage, if applicable; and
(4) An account in good standing with the City income tax division.
(c) The initial registration and annual renewal fee required under this chapter shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00). If applying for more than one registration, each subsequent registration shall be fifty dollars ($50.00). All fees shall be payable to the Engineering Department as provided by this chapter.
