The Director of Public Utilities, under the direction of the City Manager, shall have charge of and be in immediate control of the personnel of the Department of Public Utilities- Water. He shall supervise the pumping, filtration and distribution of water. He shall also inspect and install meters and perform such other duties as required by law, ordinance or executive order.
