The ends of all private sewers not immediately connected with the plumbing fixtures shall be securely closed by watertight imperishable material. If lead pipe, the end must be soldered; if wrought iron pipe, a plug must be screwed into the end; if cast-iron pipe, a cast-iron plug must be calked in with lead.
