The waste water that shall be discharged into the sanitary sewer, and in no case into the storm water sewers, shall consist of:
(a) Waste water from sinks.
(b) Waste water from toilets.
(c) Waste water from bathtubs.
(d) Waste water from urinals.
(e) Waste water from slop hoppers and garbage disposals.
(f) Waste water from laundries.
(g) Basement floor drainage.
(h) Elevator waste water, which may only be permitted to discharge into the sanitary sewer under the direction of, or by permission of the Director of Public Utilities - Wastewater.
Industrial wastes shall not be discharged into a storm sewer, but may be discharged into a sanitary sewer if the waste is of such a character as not to be detrimental to the sewers, or the sewage treatment plant. Where such wastes are detrimental to the sewers or the sewage treatment plant they shall be otherwise disposed of in a satisfactory manner, or so improved in character as not to be detrimental to the sewer system or the sewage treatment plant.
Surface water, rain water from roofs, subsoil drainage, clean water from condensers and any other clean and unobjectionable waste water, shall be discharged into storm sewers, and in no case into sanitary sewers.
