It shall be the duty of each and every owner of houses, dwellings, stores, warehouses, shops, manufactories or other buildings used for business purposes, within the City, according to the plans specified herein, and under the direction of the City Engineer, to number his or her houses, dwellings, shops, stores, warehouses, manufactories or other buildings used for business purposes.
