Every driver of a taxicab shall pay to the City Auditor a license fee of thirty dollars ($30.00) per annum for the original license and fifteen dollars ($15.00) per annum, or any part thereof, for each renewal of such license. However, any such renewal of the license that is issued after the expiration of the original license or any renewal thereof as provided by Section 745.37 shall be considered as an original license under this section and the fee therefor shall be thirty dollars ($30.00) per annum or any part thereof.
