705.09 RENEWALS TO PERSONS DISCHARGED FROM ARMED SERVICES.
Any person who, at the time he held or holds any license issued by the City, enlists in the armed services of the United States or is commissioned in the armed services, or is called into the armed services in consequence of an act of Congress, the call of the President of the United States, or due to his status in the reserve forces, National Guard or other similar defense organization, and which license expired or expires during the term of such service in the armed services may, within ninety days after receiving a discharge other than a dishonorable, bad conduct or discharge indicating other than honorable service on the part of the licensee, apply for a renewal of the license. If the licensee qualifies in all other respects for a renewal of the license, such license shall be renewed upon payment of the same fee that the licensee would have been required to pay for a renewal of the license if such license had been renewed at the expiration of the license previously issued. However, if the amount of the fee for the renewal of such license has been increased or decreased between the date of the expiration of the previous license and the date of the application for renewal, the applicant shall pay the fee in effect at the date of the application for renewal.
The term "armed services of the United States", as used in this section, includes the following: Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, or National Guard.
