§ 120.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   AMUSEMENT REDEMPTION MACHINE   OR DEVICE. Any electronic, electro-mechanical, paper, digital or mechanical contrivance or scheme designed, made, and adapted for amusement or other purposes, where the contrivance or scheme has the capacity to reward the player with non-cash or merchandise prizes, toys, or novelties, or a representation of any value or thing of value that is redeemable or otherwise available to a winning player.
   AMUSEMENT REDEMPTION MACHINE OR DEVICE ESTABLISHMENT or AMUSEMENT REDEMPTION MACHINE OR DEVICE PREMISES. Any business location that has in operation any amusement redemption machine or device is deemed to be an amusement redemption machine establishment or amusement redemption machine premises and subject to this chapter and all the rules and regulations of the city.
   PERMIT. A license to operate an amusement redemption machine establishment or amusement redemption machine premises.
   PERMITTEE. A person in whose name a permit to operate an amusement redemption machine establishment or amusement redemption machine premises has been issued.
   PERSON. An individual, even when acting for a partnership, corporation, association or other legal entity.
   PREMISES. Any premises requiring a permit under the terms of this chapter. The term PREMISES shall include the grounds, the buildings, and vehicles as well as any adjacent premises either directly or indirectly under the control of the permittee.
   PRIVATE CLUB. An association of persons for the promotion of some common object which operates not for a profit, or a place for the accommodation of its members and guests only.
   PUBLIC FACILITY. Any property owned and/or operated by the City of Port Isabel or any governmental entity.
