§ 97.05 LIBRARY DIRECTOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
   The duties and responsibilities of the Library Director shall include:
   (A)   Meeting with the Library Board at regularly scheduled meetings. If the Library Director is not available to attend a regularly scheduled meeting of the Library Board, the Library Director can designate a substitute to attend such meeting, subject to approval of the City Manager.
   (B)   Helping prepare the meeting agenda with the Board Chairperson.
   (C)   Keeping the Board and City Manager informed of the activities, acquisitions and new personnel of the library.
   (D)   Informing the Board regarding budget and financing implications.
   (E)   Guiding the Board with professional expertise.
   (F)   Directing the care and maintenance of the library building and equipment.
   (G)   Preparing the annual budget proposal.
   (H)   Overseeing the expenditures of the budget.
   (I)   Assuming the responsibility for the monthly and annual reports of library services and activities.
   (J)   Attending meetings, workshops, seminars and conferences of organizations appropriate to the library and management fields.
   (K)   Supervising the selection and processing of all library materials and equipment.
   (L)   Keeping informed of library trends through professional reading.
