§ 159.04 APPOINTMENT OF HISTORIC PRESERVATION OFFICER.
   The City Director of Historical Preservation shall serve as the historic preservation officer. If unavailable or unable to serve as the historic preservation officer, the City Manager shall appoint a qualified city official, staff person or appropriate resident of the city to serve as historic preservation officer. If no qualified staff member is found, a qualified volunteer may be appointed. This officer shall administer this chapter and advise the Historic Preservation Board on matters submitted to it. The historic preservation officer will be responsible for coordinating the city’s preservation activities with those of state and federal agencies, and with local, state and national non-profit preservation organizations.
