§ 157.075 REQUIREMENT OF CONFORMITY.
   (A) Any sign existing lawfully prior to shall be a nonconforming sign and may be continued in use providing:
      (1)   The sign is maintained in good order and repair at all times;
      (2)   The sign is not removed or damaged by natural causes to an extent exceeding 50% of its replacement value; and
      (3)   If a nonconforming sign is removed from its original location it may not subsequently be returned to the location and continued in use; nor may it be used elsewhere within the city limits, unless modified to conform to the requirements of this chapter.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful for any sign to be placed or maintained in the city on or after except as provided in this chapter.
   (C)   Nothing contained herein shall prevent the erection, construction and maintenance of official traffic or fire and police signs, signals, devices or marking of the state, the county, the city, or other competent public authorities, or the posting of notices required by law.
