§ 157.016 RESIDENTIAL SIGNS.
   (A)   Residential R-1, R1-A and R-2 zoning districts. A billboard, signboard or advertising sign shall not be permitted, except that the placing of an unilluminated “For Sale” or “For Rent” sign not more than eight square feet in area may be permitted as an accessory use.
   (B)   A-1 and A-2 zoning districts.
      (1)   Freestanding signs for individual dwelling units are prohibited, except as required to conform with postal regulations. One freestanding sign, one wall sign and one roof sign are permitted for each hotel-motel, condominium or apartment complex. Sign face area of the three combined signs shall not exceed 100 square feet. The 100 square feet allowance may be used on one of the three types of sign permitted rather than in combination.
      (2)   Change panel information is permitted, provided that it is limited to the following:
         (a)   Vacancy or no vacancy; and
         (b)   Rental rates.
