§ 116.04 TAXES; NONPAYMENT.
After the City Manager has approved an application for any taxicab, limousine or shuttle bus owner license, the City Secretary shall examine the tax records of the city and ascertain whether or not the ad valorem taxes assessed by the city against the vehicle or vehicles and other equipment to be used in the business of the applicant have been fully paid. If the taxes have not been paid, or if the owner has not rendered the property for taxation, the City Secretary will not issue the applicant a license or renewal thereof until a time as the appropriate taxes are paid. When all taxes and fees have been paid, the applicant must re-submit an application and begin the application process over again to seek a license.
