For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
CITY. The City of Port Isabel, Texas.
FOOD. Any raw, cooked or processed edible substance, ice, beverage or ingredient used or intended for use or for sale in whole or in part for human consumption.
FOOD SERVICE ESTABLISHMENT. Any place open to the general public or where, for distinct payment, food or drink is prepared or served for human consumption, whether served and consumed on the premises or off the premises. The term includes mobile food units.
MOBILE FOOD UNIT. A wheeled or vehicle mounted food service establishment designed to be readily moveable.
PERSON. Any individual, partnership, corporation, company, venture, association, trust, estate, foundation, institution, organization, group, governmental subdivision or agency and any other entity recognized by law as the subject of rights and duties whether operated for profit or not for profit.
