SECTION 3.05 CITY ATTORNEY.
   The City Commission shall appoint a competent and duly licensed attorney who shall be the City Attorney. The City Attorney shall receive such compensation as may be fixed by the City Commission and shall hold office at the pleasure of the City Commission. The City Attorney, or such other attorney selected by the City Attorney with the approval of the City Commission, shall represent the City in all cases pending or hereafter brought in any Court wherein the City is a party. In addition, the City Attorney shall represent the City in any pending litigation or threats against the City. The City Attorney shall attend all meetings of the City Commission and give advice and counsel when called upon to do so. The City Attorney shall render opinions and legal advice upon all questions concerning the City or its government when requested by the City Manager, the Mayor, or any Commissioner, and when required by the Mayor, City Manager or any Commissioner, the City Attorney shall aid in preparing all ordinance, resolutions, regulations, charters, and amendments of charters, and shall render such other legal services as the City Commission may require. In addition, the City Attorney shall serve as legal advisor of and attorney for the City and all offices and departments thereof.
