The account customer, upon a satisfactory showing that water and sewer service will be temporarily disconnected at the premises, may make an application for temporary discontinuation of garbage collection service for that period of time during which the water and sewer service will be disconnected. The application must be in writing on a form approved by the city and must be made prior to the time for which the person is requesting the temporary disconnection of garbage collection service.
