§ 35.03 MUNICIPAL COURT TECHNOLOGY FUND.
   (A)   A Technology Fund for the Municipal Court of the city is hereby created.
   (B)   All defendants convicted of a misdemeanor offense in the Municipal Court shall pay a technology fee of $4 as a cost of court.
   (C)   A person is considered convicted of a misdemeanor under this section if:
      (1)   A sentence is imposed on the person;
      (2)   The person is placed on community supervision, including deferred adjudication community supervision; or
      (3)   The Court defers final disposition of the person's case.
   (D)   The Municipal Court Clerk shall collect these costs and pay the funds to the Finance Director of the city and the costs shall be deposited in a fund known as the City Municipal Court Technology Fund.
   (E)   The fund may only be used to finance the purchase of technological enhancements for the City Municipal Court as now or hereafter provided by Tex. Code of Criminal Procedure Article 102.1072.
   (F)   The technology fee as provided for herein may only be charged as costs of court for offenses committed on or after September 1, 1999.
   (G)   The fund shall be administered under the direction of the City Commission.
