(a) No child under the age of fourteen years shall be upon the streets and sidewalks between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. of the following morning, nor shall any child between the ages of fourteen and eighteen years be upon the streets or sidewalks between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 4:00 a.m. of the following morning. However, the provisions of this section do not apply to a minor accompanied by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor, or where the minor is upon an emergency errand or legitimate business directed by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor.
(b) No parent or guardian of any child under the age of fourteen years shall allow such child on the streets or sidewalks between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. of the following morning. No parent or guardian of any child between the ages of fourteen and eighteen years shall allow such child to be upon the streets or sidewalks between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 4:00 a.m. of the following morning. However, the provisions of this section do not apply to a minor accompanied by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor, or where the minor is upon an emergency errand or legitimate business directed by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor.

(c) Any minor violating the provisions of this section shall be dealt with in accordance with juvenile court law and procedure. Any person violating the provisions of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
