1169.08 STREET CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
The following are the required minimum street construction standards.

*    Where parking is to be permitted.
**    If curbs and gutters are required.
   (a)   For residential streets and cul-de-sacs without curbs and gutters, the pavement width shall be 20 to 24 feet with roadside drainage ditches. The requirements for drainage shall be as per the type of street construction above. Where curbs and gutters are required or on extensions of existing curbs and gutters, the pavement width shall be 24 to 28 feet including curbs and gutters.
   (b)   In certain instances where a commercial area is involved and no off-street parking facilities are provided and no parking is permitted on the street at any time, a parking lane at least eight (8) feet in width on each side of the street and paved to the satisfaction of and in accordance with the specification provided by the Safety Service Director or their designee may be required in addition to the necessary number of lanes for moving traffic.
   (c)   Where pavement widths greater than those specified above are necessary, provision of same shall be discussed with the public officials having jurisdiction over the planning and construction of public ways to determine whether or not public expenditures for such additional width can or should be made simultaneously with the subdivider's improvement program.
