(a) A subdivider shall furnish plans showing location, spacing, size, variety, time of installation and other pertinent data concerning park trees or shrubs; also, the subdivider shall install such trees or shrubs in a manner in conformity with this chapter and the approved subdivision regulations for trees and shrubs. Such plans and installation shall be done with the approval and cooperation of the City Tree Commission and the Safety-Service Director.
(b) Within ninety days of the time of occupancy of each lot in a subdivision, there shall be planted by the subdivider at least one tree on such lot in accordance with the following regulations unless a written extension of time or exception is granted by the City Tree Commission.
(1) Trunks of trees at planting must not be less than one inch in diameter one foot above the ground.
(2) Trees shall be planted in accordance with the spacing requirements of this chapter.
(3) There shall be no trees or shrubs planted between the street and the sidewalk in any new subdivision.
