§ 31.11 CITY STREET SUPERINTENDENT.
   (A)   (1)   The Street Superintendent shall, subject to the order of the Mayor and Council, have general charge, direction and control of all works on the streets, sidewalks, culverts and bridges of the city and shall perform such other duties as the Council may require.

      (2)   It shall be his or her responsibility to see that gutters and drains in the city function properly and that they are kept in good repair.
      (3)   He or she shall, at the request of the City Council, make a detailed report to the Council on the condition of the streets, sidewalks, culverts, alleys and bridges of the city and shall direct its attention to such improvements, repairs and extension thereof as he or she may think proper.
   (B)   (1)   The duties of the Street Superintendent will be those set forth herein and as set forth specifically in the job description separately adopted by the Mayor and City Council.
      (2)   It shall be the special duty of the Street Superintendent to supervise and direct the snow and tree removal work in the city.
