A. Department Head: The head of the park and recreation department shall be an officer entitled the "park and recreation director". (1980 Code § 23-17)
B. Powers And Duties: The park and recreation director shall have the supervision and control of all parks, playgrounds and recreational areas operated by the city and shall maintain and improve them. He shall also have such other powers and duties as may be prescribed by this code and city ordinance. (1980 Code § 23-19)
