10-2-9: CRIMINAL OFFENSES; NONLICENSED WORK, DIVERTING AROUND METER:
   A.   It shall be unlawful and an offense for any nonlicensed person to perform any electrical work for which a permit is required, unless that person is the record owner of and resides in the property on which the electrical work is performed.
   B.   It shall be unlawful and an offense for any person to modify the equipment or wiring, either inside, or that feeds current to, a meter enclosure in such a manner that electrical current does not pass through the electric meter.
   C.   These offenses shall be subject to fine or imprisonment consistent with the maximum jurisdiction of the Municipal Court. (Ord. 6110, 11-23-2009, eff. 12-1-2009)
