Any person who destroys, alters, conceals, or disguises physical evidence, plants any evidence or furnishes any information or imparts any information, knowing such information is false, which impedes any officer in the performance of his/her duties or which is intended to misinform any officer or which is intended to prevent the apprehension or obstruct the prosecution or defense of any person, is guilty of an offense punishable within the jurisdictional limits of the municipal court.
