A. General
Building Permits are approved and issued by the Building Official in accordance with review procedures and construction standards in the Florida Building Code, as adopted and modified in accordance with Chapter 152 (Buildings) of the
Code of Ordinances
. A Building Permit is required before construction, erection, alteration, movement, enlargement, replacement, repair, equipment, use and occupancy, location, maintenance, removal, or demolition of any building or structure and certifies that such work complies with the construction standards in the Building Code.
B. Relationship to this Code
No Building Permit shall be issued for a structure unless and until the structure is completed in full compliance with a Zoning Compliance Permit for development that includes the structure. Issuance of a
Certificate of Occupancy
does not preclude requirements for licenses and other approvals.
