§ 132.35 FISHING FROM BRIDGES, AND OTHER PROHIBITED AREAS.
   (A)   The City Manager or designee may, as permitted by law for reasons of protecting the public health, safety or welfare, determine areas in the city where fishing shall be prohibited and is authorized to have signage posted in such areas to advise the public of such prohibition.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful for any person to fish from any bridge within the city that has the words "no fishing" printed on it or has a “no fishing” sign attached to it. Violations of this subsection shall constitute a traffic infraction, punishable as a pedestrian violation pursuant to F.C. Chapter 318.
   (C)   In addition to the provisions of subsection (B) above, it shall be unlawful to fish from any other area in the city or city park where a “no fishing” sign, placed by the city, is displayed. Violations of this subsection shall be punishable under §10.99.
   (D)   FISHING shall mean the act of harvesting finfish, shellfish, or crabs through the use of line, hooks, nets, or baskets.
