The Director of Planning and Growth Management shall be appointed by the City Manager and shall be qualified by special training and experience in the field of city planning. The Director shall be the head of the Planning Department and the regular technical adviser to the Planning and Zoning Board, and in addition shall coordinate and supervise the work and activities of the Building Official and the functions of Community Development, Economic Development, Code Enforcement, Business Taxes, and shall have such other authority, duties, and responsibilities as the City Manager shall designate.
