The City Commission shall determine whether or not each officer, clerk, or employee shall give bond, and the amount thereof. However, all officers, clerks, and employees handling any funds or property of the city shall be required to give bond to the city, procured from a regularly accredited surety company authorized to do business under the laws of Florida, the premiums on these bonds to be paid by the city. All bonds shall be filed in the office of the City Clerk.
