(A) Before entering upon the duties of his/her office, the Treasurer shall execute a bond in the amount of $10,000 and with such sureties as may be required by the City Council conditioned upon the faithful performance of his/her duties and to indemnify the city for any loss due to neglect of duty or wrongful act on his/her part.
(B) The City Treasurer shall receive the sum of $2,400 per year, as salary.
