1272.07   RIVER BANK DISTRICT.
   (a)   Intent.  To ensure the clarity and purity of the water and to protect the recreational and environmental value to the community and its property owners of the scenic quality of Yellow Creek, the following regulation shall apply to every lot which is bounded or crossed by the Yellow Creek or lies wholly or in part within fifty feet of either river bank thereof.
   (b)   Restrictions.  No structures, other than bridges, shall be erected or maintained, and no paving shall be installed, within fifty feet of the nearest river bank, or below 1,010 feet elevation, whichever provides the greater distance from the bank.  When the flood plain guidelines from the Department of Housing and Urban Development are available, that designation of flood area should substitute for the 1,010 feet elevation.  Bank protection structures are permitted, but shall make use of only wood or stone and use all other materials only for fastening or anchoring.
