(a) The Board is responsible for the management of the Forest as provided in this chapter.
(b) The Board shall submit an annual budget to the Council Finance Committee in January each year. The budget shall specify plans for revenue derived separately from gifts, levy funds, if any, and Forest resource revenue.
(c) The Board shall work closely with the Village Fiscal Officer to ensure proper management of funds in order to comply with all fiscal regulations established by the State of Ohio.
(d) The Board shall:
(1) Provide a safe environment for the public's enjoyment of the Forest in as much is possible in a natural area. This includes suitable trails for recreation types approved by the Board, and suitable ways for emergency vehicles to gain entry, and suitable parking facilities.
(2) Provide shelters and rest areas, and keep in good repair, and free from nuisance.
(3) Maintain the Forest in a state as natural as possible and according to best management practices as established by the State Forestry Board and principles accepted in the field or profession. R.C. § 5707.08
(4) Establish policies designed to control the behavior of the public's use and interaction with the forest landscape and infrastructure in order to maintain the Forest's integrity.
