The removal of red or amber lanterns, barricades or other devices placed on the streets and on construction projects, whether public or private, as a warning or protection for the public, by persons unauthorized to remove the same, or the willful, careless or negligent destruction of such lanterns barricades, or other devices, is hereby prohibited.
