The bench mark located on the southeast corner of the lower stone step of the west entrance of the Methodist Episcopal Church is hereby established as the Village base of levels as a reference for the grades of streets and sidewalks within the Village. The bench mark is 1,050.04 feet above the mean tide at Sandy Hook, as established by the U.S. Geological Survey.
