(a) A Law Enforcement Trust Fund for the Police Department is hereby established.
(b) Such Fund exists to receive forfeited cash, sale or auction proceeds from forfeited property or contraband, as such monies are received by or on behalf of the Police Department, either through its own efforts or in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies.
(c) The Fund shall only be available for use by the Police Department.
(d) The Police Department shall institute any and all written policies required by law to facilitate the receipt, accounting and disbursement of amounts paid into such Fund.
(e) Upon passage of this section (Ordinance 1035-97, passed January 7, 1997), a copy of this section shall be transmitted to the Police Department, the Mahoning County Drug Task Force, the Struthers Municipal Court Prosecutor, the Mahoning County Prosecutor, the Mahoning County Auditor, the Auditor of the State of Ohio and the Ohio Attorney General.
