258.07   RULES OF CONDUCT.
   (a)   Without limiting the inherent powers of the Mayor, members of the Police Department shall be subject to disciplinary action for violation of any of the following rules of conduct:
      (1)   For intoxication while on duty or while in uniform.
      (2)   For using intoxicating liquor at any time to excess, either on or off-duty.
      (3)   For willful disobedience of any order lawfully issued to him or her by the Mayor or Acting Mayor.
      (4)   For incompetency to perform the duties of his or her office.
      (5)   For conviction of any crime, other than traffic offenses.
      (6)   For conduct amounting to gross neglect of duty.
      (7)   For conduct subversive to the good order and discipline of the Police Department.

   (b)   In the event of a conflict or inconsistency between any of the provisions of this section and a provision of the Uniform Standards of Conduct for Member Performance for the Poland Village Police Department, as adopted by Ordinance 899-92, passed September 15, 1992, the latter provisions shall control.
