Application for appointment as Police Chief or patrolmen shall be prepared by the Solicitor and shall be signed by the person desiring to have his or her name submitted to Council for consideration as an appointee. The application shall state the name, age, height, weight, nationality, citizenship and other pertinent information relating to the applicant and shall further state that the applicant has read over this chapter and the rules of the Police Department and agrees to be bound by the same and that the same shall constitute his or her standard of duty.
