238.09   DEPUTY CLERK.
   (a)   The position of Deputy Clerk is hereby established by the Council of the Village of Poland.
   (b)   The Deputy Clerk shall report to the Village Fiscal Officer.
   (c)   The duties of the Deputy Clerk shall include the following:
      (1)   Attends and types minutes of Village Council and participates in special meetings, and keeps a record of all proceedings, rules, bylaws and legislation.
      (2)   When new village laws require publication, the Deputy Clerk shall publish and certify that publication was made (see Ohio R.C. 733.27 and 731.24). The Deputy Clerk shall also publish notices according to law.
      (3)   Any officer or employee required by Village Council to furnish bond shall file their bond with the Deputy Clerk (see Ohio R.C. 733.69).
      (4)   Distribute information packets to be completed by new employees. Completed forms are filed in their personnel files with other forms distributed to and by regulatory agencies. New hire online reporting must be filed for all new employees with the Ohio New Hire Reporting Center.
      (5)   Respond to public records requests as applicable to the Deputy Clerk's records.
      (6)   Assists as a liaison with legal counsel when appropriate.
   (d)   The position of Deputy Clerk shall have a set salary of four thousand dollars ($4,000.00) per year, payable monthly, effective December 01, 2012.
