(a) The position of Magistrate is hereby established pursuant to Ohio R.C. 1905.05.
(b) The Magistrate shall be entitled to hear and decide cases pursuant to Ohio R.C. 1905.01.
(c) The Magistrate shall be appointed by the Mayor and, other than in the year 1995, his or her duties shall commence on January 1, of each calendar year.
(d) The monthly salary for the Magistrate shall be determined, from time to time, by Council.
