Pursuant to the provisions of Public Act 426 of 1976, as amended, being M.C.L.A. § 41.82, the township by and through its Board of Trustees, enacts this subchapter for the purpose of restricting and/or limiting the powers and duties prescribed by state law for township constables; to require compliance with the minimum employment standards imposed by Public Act 203 of 1965, being M.C.L.A. §§ 28.601 et seq., as amended; and to establish liability for violations of the provisions of this subchapter.
