(A) Required. No building shall be erected, converted, enlarged, demolished, reconstructed, moved or structurally altered without first obtaining, from the Village Administrator, a building permit and the payment of a fee as provided in division (B) below of this section. (B) Fee schedule. A schedule of fees for building permits is established as follows:
(1) Residential/Building, Churches and Schools | Fee |
(a) New construction | $ 0.16 per sq. ft. (minimum fee of $30), which shall be divided as follows: 75% to building 25% to electrical |
(b) Additions | 0.16 per sq. ft. (minimum fee of $30), which shall be divided as follows: 75% to building 25% to electrical |
(c) Electrical Service entrance Rewiring | 30.00 0.04 per sq. ft. (minimum fee of $5) |
(d) Moving of building | 40.00 |
(e) Demolition of building | 10.00 |
(f) Mobile homes | 30.00 |
(2) Business, Industrial and All Other Buildings | |
(a) Building, area less than 1,000 sq. ft.* | 20.00 |
(b) Building, area between 1,000 and 1,500 sq. ft.* | 35.00 |
(c) Building, area more than 1,500 square feet | 50.00 |
(d) Moving | 40.00 |
(e) Demolition | 20.00 |
*Area includes all floor area under roof except unfinished basements | |
(3) Any building permit issued pursuant to this chapter is valid for a period of one year from the date of issuance.
