(A) The installation of sidewalks is optional on a minor street. On a major arterial street, sidewalks are mandatory on both sides of the street.
(B) Where installation is required, a sidewalk shall be 40 inches wide with the line nearest the abutting property one foot from the abutting property line.
(C) Materials and specifications for the design and construction of sidewalks, as required by this section, shall be in conformity with current specifications on file in the office of the Administrator.
