The State or the County Building Department, according to their respective areas of jurisdiction, shall have the power in extremely urgent cases to call upon any police officer to prevent a violation of any of the provisions of this Building Code by any willful act. Such police officer called upon shall, for the time being, be subject to the orders of such agency. After stationed at such building to enforce the orders of the agency, he or she shall remain at such building until relieved by further orders or a substitute officer.
