§ 150.01  OHIO BASIC BUILDING CODE AND COUNCIL OF AMERICAN BUILDING OFFICIALS BUILDING CODE.
   (A)   Current edition adopted.  Pursuant to R.C. § 731.231, there is hereby adopted by and for the village that certain code known as "The One-Family, Two-Family and Three-Family Dwelling Regulations of Richland County, Ohio," sometimes referred to as the Ohio Basic Building Code and the Council of American Building Officials Code, the current editions, save and except such portions thereof as may be hereinafter amended or deleted.

   (B)   Purpose.  The purpose of the Ohio Basic Building Code and the Council of American Building Officials Code, as adopted in division (A) above of this section, is to establish construction and material specifications for nonindustrialized one, two and three family dwellings and appurtenant structures in the village.

   (C)   File and distribution copies.  At least one copy of the Ohio Basic Building Code and the Council of American Building Officials Code, as adopted in division (A) of this section, is available for inspection by the public at the village office.

   (D)   Conflicts of laws.  In the event of a conflict between a provision of the Ohio Basic Building Code and the Council of American Building Officials Code, as adopted in division (A) of this section and a provision of any other technical code adopted by the village, the stricter standard shall prevail. In the event of a conflict between a provision of such Code and state law, including the Ohio Fire Code, the state law shall prevail. In the event of a conflict between a provision of such Code and a village ordinance, resolution, rule or regulation, the village ordinance, resolution, rule or regulation shall prevail.
