§ 33.03  RECORDS.
   The Mayor shall be provided by Council with a good, substantial docket, in which he or she shall enter, by themselves, all proceedings on any complaint for a violation of any of the provisions of this Code, or of any other ordinance of the village, in the order and manner in which docket entries are required by law to be made, and the time in which the prosecutions from which the items of entry are made shall take place, and he or she shall carefully preserve and file all papers relating to such proceedings. Upon the expiration of his or her term of office, he or she shall deposit with his or her successor in office his or her official docket, as well as those or his or her predecessors, which may be in his or her custody, together with all files and papers, laws and statutes pertaining to his or her office, to be kept as public records and property, and in case of his or her death, resignation or removal from office, the Mayor or his or her legal representatives shall deposit such dockets, papers, laws and statutes with the Village Fiscal Officer for safekeeping until a successor is chosen and qualified, at which time they shall be delivered over to such successor on request.
