§ 97.19  LIMITS ON EXTENSION OF EXCAVATIONS.
   An excavation in a public street or alley from the curb line shall not extend in the roadway a distance greater than one foot beyond the centerline of the street or alley before being refilled and the surface of the street or alley restored to a condition safe and convenient for travel.
