§ 92.05  COMPLAINTS; PROCEDURE.
   (A)   A person aggrieved by an unlawful practice prohibited by this chapter may file a complaint with the Clerk-Treasurer (the Fair Housing Officer) within 30 days after the aggrieved person becomes aware of the alleged unlawful practice and in no event more than 60 days after the alleged unlawful practice occurred. The Clerk-Treasurer or his or her duly authorized representative shall investigate and attempt to resolve each complaint. Failure to achieve a resolution acceptable to both parties and in compliance with this chapter shall cause the Clerk-Treasurer to forward the complaint and his or her findings to Council. If Council fails to achieve a resolution acceptable to both parties and in compliance with this chapter, the Mayor shall contact appropriate state and federal officials.
   (B)   The remedies provided in division (A) hereof shall be in addition to the penalty provided in § 92.03(B).
